Ka-Band Mixer-Preamplifier

Spacek Labs Model P34-1 is a low-noise mixer-preamplifier that covers a 26 GHz bandwidth in Ka-band.  The LO + RF bandwidths are 2 GHz wide in WR-28.  The IF band is 10 – 500 MHz.  LO power input is +10 dBm.  RF to IF gain is 25 dB typical and the DSB noise figure is 2.5 dB typical and 3.0 dB maximum. Bias is 25 mA @ +15 volts.

W-Band 8X Multiplier

Spacek Labs Model AW-8X is an 8X multiplier with an output covering all of W-band,  Input frequency is 9.35 to 13.75 GHz @ +5 to +10 dBm.  Output      frequency is 75 to 110 GHz @ + 3 dBm typical, 0 dBm minimum.  The assembly  incorporates a Spacek Labs 57 GHz low pass filter after the X4 multiplier to reject  any unwanted harmonics.  Spurious signals are 20 dBc typical.  The input bias  requirement is 0.9 Amp @  +8 volts.

COLFET Low-Noise Calibration Sources

Spacek Labs Model CS-K Low-Noise COLFET Calibration Source offers a new way to calibrate K-Band radiometers.  Instead of a liquid nitrogen-cooled load, a small waveguide-output source (K-connector optional) radiates 33 to 60 Kelvin's over 20-24 GHz when biased by +8 VDC, 100 mA max.  The CS-K (Fig. 1) operates at room temperature so no cooling is required.  Its integral voltage regulator ensures the constant noise-temperature output, and can also be TTL controlled.  Also available are high-temperature output noise sources providing ~20 dB ENR when biased  (+10 to +17 mA at >15 V DC typ).  The high-ENR and COLFET noise sources are available for K-Band (20-24 GHz) water-vapor radiometers and for V-Band (Fig. 2) covering 50-60 GHz for oxygen-line radiometers.
