Block Converters

Spacek Labs delivered several hundreds of so called "block converters" to various Aerospace Concerns in USA and abroad. These converters are self-contained modules employing mixers, frequency multipliers, IF amplifiers and phase-lock sources.

Their basic function is to convert one or more mm-wave bands into one or more microwave IF bands. In some cases the block converters operate in reverse, in that the microwave IF band is upconverted into one or more mm-wave output bands. All utilize a phase-locked source(s) for the LO(s), with internal or external reference. In some versions one common LO is split into 3 branches for a 3-channel converter system with phase tracking between channels.
